1. ABOUT THE PROJECT

Yazıcı Demir Çelik Sanayi ve Turizm Ticaret A.Ş. is planning to develop a Solar Power Plant (SPP) within the boundaries of Akkonak Village, Çay District, Afyonkarahisar Province.

The project will have an installed capacity of approximately 50 MWp and will generate renewable electricity. The scope of the project includes the installation of solar panels, inverters, power transmission infrastructure, internal access roads, and auxiliary facilities.

The engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) activities for the project will be carried out by YEO Teknoloji Enerji ve Endüstri A.Ş.

The project aims to generate renewable energy, contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions associated with fossil fuels, and support Türkiye's transition to clean energy.

The project site is located within the boundaries of Akkonak Village, Çay District, Afyonkarahisar Province.

The project area consists of the following parcels:

  • Block 102, Parcel 1
  • Block 103, Parcel 1
  • Block 104, Parcel 1

The total project area covers approximately 43 hectares.

2. ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL IMPACTS

During the construction phase, the following impacts may occur:

  • Dust generation,
  • Noise generation,
  • Increased traffic caused by construction vehicles,
  • Temporary waste generation,
  • Movement of construction machinery,
  • Temporary land-use impacts.

These impacts will be temporary and managed in accordance with the Environmental and Social Management Plans prepared for the project.

  • Biodiversity assessments have been carried out as part of the project.
  • Should any historical artifact, archaeological find, or cultural heritage asset be encountered during construction activities, all work will be suspended immediately, and the relevant authorities will be notified.
  • Communication with local communities, village headmen (muhtars), public authorities, and other stakeholders will be maintained throughout the project.
  • Feedback, suggestions, and grievances received from stakeholders will be recorded, assessed, and addressed.

3. GRIEVANCE MECHANISM

To meet our Environmental, Social, and Quality Standards, we provide a grievance mechanism through which concerns, complaints, requests, and suggestions related to our activities and projects can be submitted and evaluated. With your feedback, we continuously improve our management systems and performance.

All feedback is taken seriously and reviewed with due diligence. Every submission received by the Environment, Sustainability & Quality Department is subject to a formal review process, and you will be kept informed throughout each stage of the process.
